Gill has been making artist teddy bears since November 2011; during this time she has been accepted into The Professional Crafters Guild and The Guild of Master Bear Crafters.
An award-winning bear maker, she is featured in the UK Teddy Bear Guide and has recently had prime coverage in the Teddy Bear Times.
Bowerbird Bears are made from traditional as well as unusual fabrics, drawing on Gill’s background in Interior Design and growing passion for textiles of all kinds.
Winner of an Alfonso Award (Teddy Bear BAFTA) in 2017, Gill is now focusing on localism and sustainability; to this end, she has been working with Cambrian Mountain Wool, Baavet and Charles and Patricia Lester to bring you a range of 'Wholly Welsh' bears, that both support local farming and industry, and are increasingly sustainable.
Each of our bears is individually named and comes with a birth certificate.
