Parva Farm Vineyard

This award-winning vineyard is on a sunny slope, overlooking Tintern and the beautiful River Wye. It is believed to be the site used by the monks of Tintern Abbey to cultivate vines hundreds of years ago.

Parva Farm and Vineyard was purchased in a derelict state by Colin and Judith Dudley in 1996.

Four years of hard work by Colin and Judith saw most of the vineyard returned to full production.

More vines were planted in 2002 so that there is now a total of 4500 vines with 5 main varieties- 3 white and 2 red.

The vineyard is on a sunny slope, overlooking Tintern and the beautiful River Wye. It is believed to be the site used by the monks of Tintern Abbey to cultivate vines hundreds of years ago.

There is a self-guided tour available for visitors to stroll round the vineyard, admire the views and learn a little about growing vines in Wales.

The old vines produce high quality wines many of which have won awards- both Nationally & Internationally.

White, rose , red and sparkling wines are produced as well as a Welsh mead and some fruit wines which are made with locally grown fruits.

We also produce our own cider, made with locally grown, organic apples.

Our guided tours followed by tutored wine tasting are popular in the summer months and may be taken in the day or evening. These need to be booked in advance and last about 2.5 hours. We cater for groups of 8 - 30 people.

On Thursdays during July & August at 5.30p.m. we do guided vineyard tours followed by wine tasting. These last about 2 hours & cost £9.00 There is no need to book in advance.

The vineyard is on a fairly steep slope so suitable footwear must be worn.

The wines may be sampled in the farm shop which also sells Troggi Sparkling Perry & Cider, Kingstone Ales, local preserves, honey and garden plants grown at the vineyard as well as a selection of gifts.

The vineyard is a popular destination for "Hen- parties" and there is also a field which may be hired for your wedding.
