We pride ourselves on using the best of local produce from this rich and diverse agricultural region, preparing with flair and imagination for both our friendly lounge bar and traditional timbered restaurant.

The Dragon kitchen has held an AA Rosette for fine food consistently since 1999. Head Chef Thomas Fraenzel is always pleased to meet guests and chat about his style of cuisine.

In the Restaurant there is a full a la carte menu as well as a daily table d'hote with choices.

In the bar there is a full menu ranging from sandwiches and ploughmans to baked salmon and local steaks.

Montgomery is set in the inspiring countryside of the Mid Wales and Shropshire borders.
