A member of Caerphilly Tourism Association - working together to promote tourism Coed Craig Ruperra offers a lovely opportunity to walk through a natural woodland now interpreted by many colourful panels.
Visitors can enjoy interesting information about the wildlife and vegetation as well as the history of the ancient monuments and formal gardens of this historic site.
To the south of the woodland and accessed from a public footpath, lies the ruined Ruperra Castle.
Access to the woodland is by the carpark on the Draethen to Michaelston road. Draethen lies between Lower Machen and Rudry.
