The Regimental Museum (01874 613310) commemorates Rorkes Drift of Zulu fame and 300 years of regimental history from 1689 to present day.

Open Mondays to Fridays throughout the year: 10am-5pm.

Plus summer openings on Saturdays & Bank Holidays and special opening on selected Sundays.

Theatr Brycheiniog (01874 611622) the theatre has a gallery on it’s upper floors and regular performances offering extensive and diverse entertainment.

Brecon Leisure Centre has a 25 metre & a learner swimming pool, the latter has a slide for youngsters that is open in leisure times. The leisure centre also has 10 pin bowling, an indoor bowls green, health & fitness suites, a variety of sports halls, four outdoor tennis courts, an athletics track and an astro turf pitch.

Dragonfly Cruises (07831 685222) offer canal trips from the Canal Basin, over an aqueduct and through a lock – 2 ½ hours.

The canal basin & tow path are an attractive place to visit and take a stroll from. The tow path is suitable for wheel chairs .

The Promenade (01874 622995) has a children’s play area. with pedaloes & rowing boats for hire. Teas, coffees & ice-cream every day from Easter to September.
