Chestnut House is a stunning contemporary house on an award winning development surrounded by the Black Mountains yet just a short stroll from the excellent shops, pubs and restaurants in Crickhowell.These include The Bear Hotel which is famous for its good pub food!

Ground floor accommodation comprises of a large kitchen/diner designed by Mark Wilkinson. Electric Bosch oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, Miele dishwasher, washer/dryer, toaster, radio and i-Pod dock. Diner has circular table with four chairs, breakfast bar with 4 stools.
Separate dining room with funky glass table, seating for 8.
Large lounge with wood burning stove. Flat screen TV with FreeSat and DVD. Downstairs cloakroom with large shower. Ample storage space for coats and boots in seperate hallway.
Beautiful chestnut wood throughout the ground floor.

Ash staircase to first floor and spacious landing. Master bedroom has vaulted ceiling (featuring many different woods), en-suite and an ash spiral staircase leading to mezzanine floor. Two further double bedrooms, 1 single and another bedroom with vaulted ceiling with bunk beds.
Large family bathroom with shower over bath.

There are delightful views from the small but pretty gardens which contain many specimen trees and shrubs.

There is a patio with furniture and barbecue. A lockable garage is ideal for bike storage etc. and there is ample car parking.

Crickhowell is well placed in the Brecon Beacons and is an excellent base for the many food and music festivals in the area. There is also the Hay Literary festival in May which is easily reached in under half an hour.

Surrounded by such beautiful scenery it would be a shame not to explore the area walking in the Beacons and Black Mountains, not forgetting the magnificent waterfalls.

However for the not so active there is always the river Usk a short walk through the town to the famous 400 year old bridge, one could just sit with a drink and contemplate the lovely view!
