Pentre Tai Farm is situated in 60 acres of rolling Welsh countryside midway between the cities of Newport and the capital Cardiff, just a short journey from junction 28 of the M4.

Dating back to Georgian times the original building remains a prominent and impressive feature, whilst guest accommodation is located in a brand new development, extending over 3 floors.

Owners Sue & George Proctor have been providing bed & breakfast accommodation at the farm since 1992 and pride themselves on creating a warm, relaxing and welcoming environment at this delightful country retreat.

Outdoor purists will enjoy the farm’s DIY livery service, with many local bridle ways to walk or ride in close proximity, whilst the farm offers a fortnightly clay pigeon shoot as well as 5 on-site caravan pitches for those wishing to ‘go it alone’.

The farm is on the Sirhowy Valley Walk, a 26 mile walk between Newport and Tredegar through the heart of the Welsh valleys.

All 6 bedrooms are individually designed and decorated and feature en-suite toilet, washbasin and shower facilities, whilst benefiting from central heating, a hospitality tray, hairdryer and Freeview colour TV.

For those wishing to conduct business or to simply stay connected during their visit, broadband Wi-Fi internet access is available in all bedrooms and communal areas throughout the guest accommodation area.

We encourage guests to relax in our spacious lounge and dining area where a TV and library of DVDs are available, along with our baby grand piano for any budding musicians!

The ground floor houses a gym, equipped with a selection of cardiovascular and endurance apparatus which guests can freely access whilst outside we have a private car park and lockable shed for cycles and other outdoor equipment.

Within easy reach is a good choice of local pubs, offering a range home cooked cuisine and bar meals, with the nearest shop and bus-stop only half a mile away.

Children are welcome at reduced rates and access to a cot and high chair is available, as required. Animals are only accepted if assisting guests with disabilities – please contact directly for a copy of our Access Statement.
