The Angel Hotel

The Angel Hotel - Abergavenny's main hotel, right in the centre

The Angel Hotel was a great coaching inn on the London to Fishguard road; privately run now since 2002. Sitting at Abergavenny's centre, it combines friendly and attentive service with an elegant décor.

AA three stars awarded to the hotel, and the award-winning cuisine has an AA rosette. Plus the wine list has a been given a ‘Wine Spectator’ Award of Excellence every year since 2005. One of just 26 UK awards in 2012, and the only one in Wales!

The Angel Hotel is a member of the prestigious UK Tea Guild having previously held an ‘Award of Excellence’ since 2008. Only nine hotels outside of London have achieved this. In 2011 The Angel Hotel were proud recipients of The Tea Guild’s top national award, the Oscar of the tea world.
