The Coach House

Beautiful, well-equipped cottage. We liked it so much we've re-booked it already!

Self-catering accommodation in the Coach House consists of a large open-plan living room with kitchen/diner. The bathroom, with whirlpool bath and shower, WC and basin, together with an additional cloakroom are situated downstairs.

The Coach House has two staircases, each leading to one of the two spacious bedrooms, that can be made up with a superking or twin single beds. A vine sheltered pergola with comfortable wicker-style furniture is situated at the gable end of the property and an additional picnic area is provided in the spinney area to the rear of the Coach House for al-fresco dining.

The self-catering experience at The Coach House can be enhanced by accessing some of the facilities available in the main house. Visitors are able to order drinks, cooked breakfasts, packed lunches, soup suppers, and even an evening meal (subject to availability).

The fully-equipped kitchen includes a 4-ring gas hob, electric oven/grill, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. A kettle, toaster and coffee machine are provided as is a starter “Welcome Pack” with such essentials as tea, coffee, milk, washing-up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Deluxe Packs, Breakfast Hampers and Soup Suppers are also available with prior notice.

Sufficient crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, tea towels and basic cleaning items etc. are provided as a matter of course (see inventory for full list of equipment) for the duration of your stay.

The open-plan living room is furnished with two large leather sofas and leather foot stool. A widescreen LCD satellite TV with DVD/VHS player/recorder, PSone, and CD/MP3 player are provided along with a selection of games, discs and videos.
Local walking books, maps and tourism information are also available in the Coach House, with further advice on hand in Penmachno Hall.

As there is no mobile phone reception in this area a direct dial telephone with broadband internet access have been provided for the visitors convenience. Evening and weekend telephone calls to UK landline numbers are included, other calls are charged at cost.

The property is centrally heated throughout and is provided with an additional gas stove, situated in the inglenook in the living room, for additional heating if needed.

The two bedrooms are each accessed by their own private staircase and can be pre-booked as either double or twin rooms. This is accomplished by use of a luxury “zip and link” bed system. These can be connected at their bases and throughout the top and bottom of the mattresses to form a 6ft x 6ft6 super-king bed or can be used independently as 2 single (3ft x 6ft6) beds. The beds will be made up for your arrival and all linen will be changed on a weekly basis.

Extra blankets and pillows are available on request. Built in wardrobes (with 6 hangers per person), a dressing table and stool, chest of drawers and occasional chair furnish the rooms.

Absolutely wonderful - a great base for Snowdonia.
