Superbly located, in a remote yet accessible setting, near the picturesque Blaen Y Glyn waterfalls and beside the Talybont reservoir. This beautifully restored, self-catering, four-bedroomed barn sleeps a maximum of 10 guests. Converted with great care and attention to detail, Abercynafon Farm Barn is spacious, light and comfortable and has underfloor heating througout. Although adjacent to the owner's farmhouse, the barn has a separate entrance gate, drive and garden, allowing full privacy
There is a spacious, fitted kitchen with a large gas-fired cooker and hob, microwave, tall fridge and dishwasher, plus all you need for cooking for a large group. The dining table can comfortably sit 14 people.
Off the kitchen is the large, oak beamed sitting room with a wood burning stove and comfortable sofas, TV and DVD. Enjoy the panoramic views of the Talybont reservoir and surrounding mountains through the huge cart arch windows. Double doors give access to a sheltered sitting-area with a wooden table, benches and a BBQ.
Also off the kitchen is a good-sized utility room with a washing machine, freezer and additional storage space. Adjoining is a drying room for coats and boots, with a toilet and hand basin.
A hand-made, oak staircase leads to four large en-suite bedrooms. On the upstairs landing there are two separate toilets with hand basins. All bedrooms are beautifully renovated with great oak trusses and floors. Bedroom 1 and 2 are generously sized with an oak-framed double and single bed, two chest of drawers and hanging space. A ladder stair leads to a further mezzanine sleeping area with two futon beds. Great fun for children!
Bedroom 3 has twin beds, a chest of drawers and hanging space. Bedroom 4 has a double bed, two chests of drawers and hanging space. It also has a mezzanine sleeping area. Attractive circular stone windows look on to the circular front garden and offer wonderful views in every direction.

Energy and water-use efficiency and recycling are encouraged, being fundamental to the ecological ethics on which Abercynafon Farm is run. Abercynafon sources it own freshwater and electricity is generated by Abercynafon's own micro-hydroelectric turbine using the nearby stream. Enjoy a tour of the hydro-scheme!
Enjoy the use of a telescope and star maps to view the spectacular starry night skies. So you can be active during the day and stargaze at night - enjoying spectacular views at any time!
