Brecon Lodge Townhouse B&B, graded 4 Stars by the Tourist Board, provides the ideal venue for the visitor to the area, or the business person needing quick access to Cardiff's retail and financial centres.

Brecon Lodge is a delightful 1870s Victorian Gentleman's residence, having just 3 bedrooms, either fully En-suite, or with a Private Bathroom. Each has an interesting view - of the sea or across the townscape towards distant Exmoor.

The City Centre is reached in just 15 minutes by either fast bus or fast train, which run every 8 minutes, or 15 minutes, respectively.

The seafront is 5 minutes walk and there are plenty of excellent restaurants within a 5-8 minute walk.

Breakfast. A Full Welsh Breakfast using locally sourced products is our standard, but we can also provide a Continental Option, and provide for vegetarians or diabetics by prior arrangement.

Complimentary Tea, Coffee and biscuits are provided in each of our three bedrooms, which are carefully furnished to match the great character of this period dwelling.

What to see and do ? Well, duw, where do I start ?

First is Cardiff Castle (the bus drops you off opposite the gate). Next, the Millenium Stadium for the Rugby Tour. (The bus goes here as well !). Then its off to St. Fagans, to the Museum of Welsh Life. Then a tour of Cardiff Bay, the Senedd and Wales Millenium Centre opera house (seats 1,800). Then we recommend Cosmeston Mediaeval Village in Penarth, where the Squire or one of his serfs will show you the bakery, Great Hall or piggery. And of course the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, just 30-40 minutes away, with its wild unspoilt remote beaches and then the beautiful Brecon Beacons, reached in under the hour from Brecon Lodge by car.

Oh and I expect you are wondering about our prices for a night or so in the house. Well, we start very reasonable at around £65 - £70 for a Twin or Double Room for 2 people, and around £40 - £50 per night for a Single Bedroom, and no taxes either.
