Mynydd Ednyfed is an idyllic family-run country house, set in seven acres of gardens and woodlands.

The former home of Lloyd George's family in the late 1900's, this 400-year-old country home has been tastefully refurbished to a high standard, offering both comfort and contemporary style in a stunning location.

All rooms en-suite with four poster rooms available.

Standard in all rooms:
colour TV, Wi-Fi access, radio, direct dial telephone, tea/coffee making facilities.

Throughout the summer months, you can enjoy flower-filled gardens, long evening walks and the space to fully unwind. In the winter, warm up with hearty food, roaring log fires and cozy nights in our comfortable lounge.

South facing, we offer a tranquil retreat with no passing traffic. Enjoy the peace or maybe a Pimms on the patio, with far-reaching views towards Criccieth Castle and Cardigan Bay.

It is said that 'breakfast is the most important meal of the day', so with that in mind at Mynydd Ednyfed we take great pride in ensuring our guests receive a varied selection of foods at breakfast time. We have recently discovered a fantastic local farm, in nearby Garndolbenmaen, called Tyddyn Mawr, which breeds and rears free-range produce, including meat, poultry, eggs and cheese. Two 'Pedigree Large Black Sows', called Rosie and Honey, are classed as a 'rare breed'. Between them, they produced nine piglets in 2009.

Our personal contribution to the Breakfast table include homemade marmalade and freshly laid eggs, supplied by our nine hens, housed in the top paddock.
