David studied technical Illustration at The City of Gloucester Collage of Art, 1965 1967 and worked as a Graphic Designer until 2001.
On moving to Chepstow in 1997,
started to indulge his passion for ceramics.
A lifelong desire to one day open a Gallery, came to fruition four years later, when he and his wife Josephine opened Riverside Pottery and Gallery
in Chepstow.

Located opposite Chepstow Castle, Riverside Pottery & Gallery provides the ideal showcase for local Welsh and English artists.
Riverside Gallery is the home for the works of local artist David Jones whose Wye Valley scenes are popular with locals and visiting tourists alike. In addition to watercolours and sketches David also makes a range of decorative and functional ceramics which are sort after as original gifts and practical additions to the home.

Vivien is a water colourist; she was born in Lancashire and her early influences in painting and drawing were the rocks of the Pennines. She moved to Chepstow in 2000 and now takes inspiration from animals of all shapes and sizes. Commissions have included pets,horses, Raglan Castle, a herd of Herefordshire cattle and country homes.

Voluntary redundancy from the Civil Service allowed me to set up my own studio in 2009. It also gave me the opportunity to enjoy the area where I live and take inspiration from my surroundings. I use ancient, traditional and modern methods in my jewellery making, and incorporate unusual techniques like Viking Weave, Foldforming, and Basket Weaving to produce unique items.
Cathryn Yeates
Cathryn graduated in 3D Design Ceramics in 1987 and has been creating her own work ever since. She taught on the BTec Ceramics course at the Royal Forest of Dean College for many years and has been running a pottery club in Chepstow since 1990!
