Hi, My name is Marva Jackson Lord. I moved to this Brecon Beacons National Park with my husband and children in 2003. I am a writer, online customer service provider and DJ pioneer. I also work with indie artists (writers, musicians, spoken word artists) helping to setup tours, social media platforms and web site coaching. I love karaoke, guerilla marketing and digital media. I used to run a small foodie biz cause I simply enjoy cooking. I also enjoy travel, film, music. Im particularly passionate about radio, music of all kinds, and of course, books; and I knit and crochet lovely things. Some of the income from booking the flat goes towards contributing to the cultural life of our local community and working with artists. You can learn more here, website link and website link.
We moved here as we wanted to raise our children in a rural area. The community is peaceful, caring and friendly. It is also full of creative activity, outdoor sports and adventure trails, and lots of interesting historical sites, so there is always something to do!
Our home is the site of a beautiful old orchard. I grew up in Canada surrounded by an active farming community and small town values. This area reminds me of the best parts of my childhood.
